Around Atsipopoulo and the neighbouring village of
Prines In Atsipopoulo, the emphasis is on new buildings by young families from Rethymnon. In and around Prines however the newcomers from other countries concentrate. Some of them use their houses as retreats, but others use them as holiday domiciles and they also let them out as private holiday homes |

| Stelios and his wife Katerina therefore during recent years adapted their product line to the demand and the needs of the customers from the neighbourhood. | ||||

| They of course still have the traditional Cretan products such as Feta cheese and olives from the barrel, but modern Greek products as well as many import articles have been included as well. | ||||
|
And so the holidaymakers who stay in the holiday villas around find on the supermarket shelfs plenty of familiar brand products from their home countries:
Ranging from Ceylon tea to pasta and pasta sauces, and from cornflakes to shampoos to dishwashing detergents. The advantage is that being a holidaymaker, one already knows the product from home, as the labelling of imported brand products is in the most cases only in Greek. |

| Fresh fruit and vegetable, meat and sausages, light bulbs and electric kettles, pots and pans, nappies, diapers and sticking plaster they have as well. Just the things that it needs during the holidays. | ||||

| The total number of items in Stelios' and Katerina's product line is enormous, mainly compared to the size of the supermarket which belongs rather to the medium-sized ones. | ||||

The secret lies in the stock-keeping method, and in a big number of employees.
In the shelfs they always have just a few pieces from each item, but the basement storage contains plenty of replenishment. And there are always enough of team members present who fill up the shelfs, and on request they also give advice (the most of them speak English). |

| The Delivery Service is another characteristic. In the morning, Stelios brings fresh bread, milk and any other goods requested straight to your holiday villa. | ||||

| And as the New National Road runs just below the village, the Delivery Service does not only include the immediate neighbourhood but also many other villages along the bay of Rethymnon: | ||||
